I have told you, some time ago, about a photographic method to have monstrously large images using a robot to shot: the gigapanography. I'd like to introduce today the technique of high dynamic range images (HDR).

Gigapanography

Gigapanography is a neologism designating a huge image of several gigapixels, made by sticking photos of normal size.

The goal is to obtain a landscape or a great scene and to be able to zoom in to see the details.

1280*1024, strange resolution?

I just get something unbelievable! Or at least, very strange...

Most of current screen resolution is 1280×1024 pixels, but this resolution has something strange and distorted the vision we have of pictures and text! I discover that by watching at photos in 1600×1200 and seeing black bands at the top and bottom of the screen.

Animusic, musical animations

Animusic is a band composed with a musician and a graphic artist. As their name suggests they make musical animations. All their creations are available on DVD on the site Animusic.com, but we can find some extracts on the video sharing sites.

The first short films were made several years ago. Since that time, the 3D technologies make some progress, but my favourite is one of the firsts, named Pipe Dream.

Mickey Mouse's 80th birthday

Another birthday! With 3 days late I wish a happy birthday to the oldest mouse in the world! Mickey Mouse was born on Novembre 18, 1928 date of the first Steamboat Willie release, a cartoon showing Mickey piloting a boat.
