Fire in a hosting centre

The office of the american host "The Planet" had been devastated by a fire, thousands of websites are down.

A data centre has been destroyed, impacting 9000 servers. Nevertheless the building structure and most of the servers are intact.

The damage is estimated at nearly $ 900 000 says The Inquirer.

«In addition we have to repare the structures and a lot of hours of work for the employes, wich at least will cost hundreds of thousands dollars for The Planet and its insurance.»

So if you see sites that don't work these days, it may be their host.
